When you finally decide to hop back on the track in September, where are they? They aren’t just a few feet ahead of you. They are miles down the road. They’ve gained a lead that they might never give up.

Here is the kicker: To catch up to where you would have been if you’d just kept your steady pace, you can’t just start running at your old speed. You have to run twice as fast. You have to put in twice the effort. You have to burn twice the fuel.

  • Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising: If you are a solo plumber and you’re taking your family to Disney for two weeks, you should absolutely pause your Google Ads. Why pay for a lead when you can’t answer the phone? It’s a direct faucet: you can turn it off and on.
  • Google Local Services Ads (LSA): Similar to PPC, you can toggle your “open” status. If you aren’t available to take the call, don’t pay for the lead.

The “DO NOT TOUCH” List:
